I work as a contracted freelance journalist (remotely) on the news, tech, and money desks for the New York office of the London based media company. I write anywhere from 2-5 days a week, working nights and weekends. My beats include US political, local crime, coronavirus, entertainment and personal finance coverage. One of my stimulus check articles hit more than one million views within 24 hours of publishing - making that day the third best day for page views for The Sun US at the time.

As an Associate Breaking News Editor, I edited up to dozens of articles a day, wrote copy of my own, assigned/approved pitches, attended planning meetings, and took part in homepage and alert decisions. On the weekends, I was the sole main editor for Sundays. I edited and wrote on subjects ranging from politics, business, health, and local news. I worked remotely with teams across the country, juggling longer-form stories along side breaking news every day.

As a freelance journalist for TODAY.com, I worked directly with editors and wrote several stories a month based on assignments or pitches. I covered food, personal finance and current events.


As the Digital Editorial Intern for TODAY.com, I pitched stories for the varying verticals on the website and write assigned articles. Currently, I have nearly 35 bylines published on the website. While I covered several beats, my reporting was largely focused on finance, business, political and travel reporting. One of my articles about stimulus checks hit the top article on the site with nearly 800k page views in the first few days of publishing.

I sat in on daily editorial meetings, conducted and transcribed interviews, researched and wrote. Every day I consistently worked with programs like Citrus, Rev Recorder, Slack and more.

As an intern for the MSNBC show Velshi & Ruhle, I pitched stories for headlines and bumps, wrote more than twenty headlines and five aired segments. Additionally, I sat in on anchor/editorial meetings and assisted on set as needed. Every day I consistently worked with programs like iNews, Wildmoka, LinkinBio, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and more. I also managed the official Velshi & Ruhle Instagram and Facebook.

While interning for Real Vision, I proofread and edited transcripts and added closed captioning for financial news and trading content. I edited and posted daily videos to the official YouTube channel and used Sprout Social to manage all social media accounts. I additionally acted as an on set production assistant.

At the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation, I was responsible for all social media accounts and increased engagement by over 150%. I assisted in basic website design and advertising for events. I conducted daily media scans and controlled daily social media posts.


Circa News - Intern

As a Campus Correspondent for Circa News, I wrote original scripts, produced/filmed shoots, and edited footage in post production. I conducted interviews and extensive research for weekly story pitches. While there, I published approximately 12 media posts with original scripts geared toward college students.


When working as an intern at NH1 News, my daily tasks consisted of writing articles and handling the social media during the afternoon/evening shift. During my internships I wrote over 200 articles and partook in field journalism. I wrote over 15 articles under my byline, averaging one byline per week. In addition, I scheduled the daily release of articles on the Facebook page.
